Life of Jayanti Hazra is so challenging because she lives in Chakmanik village with her 68 years old husband. Santana is 61 years old and her son is working in Karnataka as migrant labour. There was no tubewell in her house and with very poor earnings, Jayanti never dreamed of having a piped water connection in his home, as that required having a motor to pump water to the overhead tank which was costly. She had to fetch water from road side tubewell which was very risky for a 61 years old woman. But now with the FHTC she is much relieved.
